Sonny boy, I’m a couple days late with this update, but you are officially 5 months old! Before you were born, I couldn’t picture you being older than 4 months, so we are in uncharted territory.

This last month was a BIG one for you with lots of ups and downs. You became totally different baby in a couple of weeks! You grab things now, you can sit up mostly on your own, you started using your high chair, you met your cousin, you click your tongue back at us (thanks @sproutedmama ) and you started to “eat” food—- but mostly gag and spit it out because #boobiesforlife .
.
Because of all this growing and changing + your first cold + starting teething, you also slept worse during your 4th month than ever before. Dad and I started thinking a 1.5 hour stretch was “long.” We survived it together. We also survived your daycare being closed for a week because a baby in your class tested positive for this pandemic that’s going around 😭 and you got your first Covid-19 test yourself which was so stressful for mommy. But it was negative, you are getting better, and last night you SLEPT. Thanks for being such a smart, fun, happy boy. We love you SO MUCH. Swipe to see us twinning today 🤍

For Sonny, day 6 on earth included his first bottle 🍼, his first at home bath 🛀🏻 , and his first walk around the neighborhood. He liked some of these things more than others 🦊. We are so so tired but so not sick of loving on this boy ☀️

Our son, Edison “Sonny” Xavier, arrived on a sunny day, Thursday, October 8, 2020. He is 8.1 lbs, 22 inches long, and absolutely perfect. @secretagentmichaelscarn8 and I are so happy and so thankful to be a family with this little one. There is nothing like it.
